RADIAN

Your shadow is the only bridge — and light is the only thing you can trust to lie.

Premise

A small, faceless figure crosses a dead factory where nothing is solid but the dark. Aim a swinging sodium lamp to stretch your own shadow across the gaps — where the shadow falls, the world becomes real enough to walk on. But light is honest and cruel: stretch a shadow too thin and it fades to a ghost, park the lamp too far away and the dark swallows you, and the red eyes of the machine never blink for long. Every mechanic is a deception of perception — an INSIDE-inspired puzzle game about doubting your own eyes.

How to play

Goal: reach the amber doorway of light at the far right of each level. 8 levels, unlocked as you clear them.

  • A / D (or ← →) — move
  • Mouse — aim the lamp (your shadow is cast away from it)
  • R — restart level
  • M — mute
  • Enter / click — start & advance · ESC — level select

Keyboard + mouse required (no touch support). If keys don't respond, click the game once to focus it.

You die when: you step where neither floor nor shadow holds, or a red searchlight catches you while it glows.

Features

  • Shadow-bridging with real light-angle projection — lamp height and position genuinely change your shadow's reach, and it collapses under you if you let the light drift mid-crossing
  • Load-bearing limits: shadows stretched too far visibly thin into a useless ghost — wide voids demand the moving ferries instead
  • Shadow plates, blinking searchlights, and ferry platforms layered into 8 escalating levels, ending with a beam that watches the ferry itself
  • Playdead-style atmosphere: charcoal & sodium-amber palette, fog, film grain, flickering lamp, a low industrial hum, and a lone silhouette rim-lit only when the light still has you
  • Weighty game feel — hit-pause, screenshake, particle dust, fade transitions, saved progress

Tips

Watch the bottom-right text: "the shadow holds" means the bridge is real. Searchlights flicker a warning before they fire — that's your cue to stop.

  • The later ferry levels (VII–VIII) are deliberately hard; timing windows are tight but fair.
